Ok, I have this bitchin' Grateful Dead podcast that is around 5.5 hours long and I want to get a 25 minute song off of it. I want to make the one song one MP3. Then I don't have to search through this podcast every time I want to jam out to it. Anyone know a good (free) program that I can do that? The song gives me goosebumps everytime, and I don't find myself listening to it because its a bitch to find
No sweat. Hey, I meant to post the how-to link earlier. Here it is now. Splitting recordings into separate tracks - Audacity Wiki
I have an issue that can be piggy backed onto this so.... Is there a free .cda to .mp3 converter out there. i've tried like 2 or3 and they all only do 3:00 of a song or just 60% :/
.cda files aren't really files. They're what Windows shows when you put in an audio CD. What you need is an audio CD ripper. CDex | Open Source Digital Audio CD Extractor with more than 38,000,000 downloads
Yeah i found FreeRip But although it does the job it's fubard the Computer's sound device good thing it wasn't my computer. I'm going to use it for now then uninstall it and see if that does the trick to bringing it back.
It wouldn't touch the three i had It handled all my other store bought CD's no problem, but for some reason it didn't like the store bought TSO CD, and the 2 burned TSO CD's i was trying to copy. but yeah its usually quick and easy to copy and save from an audio CD. with these ones there was just some issue with it
it has the ability, and until today it gave me 0 problems but none of the 4 computers i tried it on even budged kept throwing an error code of not being able to read the disc. but it'd play the songs just fine
Cakewalk is good, idk if it's free but the GF and I use it and dig it... I think it was free... or "free"
