Looking to spend around $200 ... just something portable and easy to use. Anything specific recommendations? I know $200 isn't much to work with but I won't be doing anything wild and crazy with it.
we love our kodak easy share M340, i think it was like 130 does cool panoramas and such took these shot with it
In that price range, pretty much any of the cameras will give you similar quality results. So unless you're looking for something specific (long zoom, small size, AA batteries, 720p video, etc) it's hard to go wrong. Personally I prefer Canon, with Sony and Panasonic following closely behind. In the Canon line, there is the SX120 IS which is right at $200 and gives you long zoom and AA batteries. And the SD1300 IS which is less expensive has a wide angle lens and is quite small. The Panasonic DMC-FH3 or Sony DSC-W330 are also worth looking at.
Thanks guys. I had a couple Kodaks in college; really easy to use. I've heard pretty much anything Canon is money also. The fiancee has a Nikon I told her not to get (bought it about 2 years ago). It's got a rechargeable battery which I didn't want cause it might save you money long term but it's just easier to buy new batteries when they it needs it. If you got somewhere with this and it's dead well then shit it's dead and needs hours to charge. Not to mention it takes AWFUL pictures. She just told me last week after she began using it she never liked it but didn't want to tell me. Fucking told you so, slut!
This is what I have, it's a nice toy, takes great pics and vids. Amazon.com: Sony Cybershot DSC-W180 10.1MP Digital Camera with 3x SteadyShot Stabilized Zoom and 2.7-inch LCD: Camera
Well ended up going with a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S2100, it was kind of an impulse buy on our honeymoom, looks like we overpaid by about $20 but it's got a 3" screen and 12.1MP so for $100 I'm pretty happy with is thus far. We went down to Disney, these little guys were running all over over our resort Here's me with Mickey Me munching on a turkey leg, CFT!
When light levels are low, the camera may not be able to decide on a focus distance. Some cameras won't take a picture, while others default to some preset focus distance (usually infinity). This can be a real problem. ______________ VLC Player
Ha I love those shades ... polarized and $15 at Target! The mustache is in winter mode right now, the wife is disgusted with it!
