And they have the Tech to create a dome around a small fleet of ships (5 to be exact) that shuts down their radar and communications from the rest of the world, but they can't wipe all 5 off the face of the earth in 15 seconds? One things for sure though. This ain't gunna be no Clue.
I like the dome idea, it makes it seem like they are on a chess board of sorts... but the alien part is lame. I bet the actual battle in this movie is only going to be about 15-20mins top.
The dome is a tool to help solidify the blind gussing aspect of the board game by cutting off the ships radar and not getting help from outside forces, but IF they can shut down their radar and isolate them then they are just toying with the Earth based forces (US and Japan). And if they are just toying with them there is no way that the Earth forces would/could win the battle but we all know they will. Just makes it that much less appealing. Now if the aliens coume out and just obliterate the ships then maybe it'll be a decent movie. And yeah you know the battle scenes are going to last only a brief moment.
I'll download it at least. That very last clip from the preview of the full broadside should be pretty awesome in HD and surround sound. Of course, the Navy doesn't even HAVE any battleships any more, and hasn't had any for 20 years now. So...
