Current NFL News 15 Days until Peyton Manning is due his Roster bonus... if the Colts are going to cut him they need to do it before then. Other veterans will also be released regardless. Miami isn't going to resign QB Chad Henne after being an overall disappointment for them, look for them to pursue Manning if he hits the open market. Cedric Benson and the Bengals haven't talked a new deal as of yet. Chiefs would like to retain Freeagents; Brandon Carr and Dwyane Bowe. The Chiefs signed CB, Stanford Routt to a 3yr $19.6 Million contract. If the Chiefs resign Carr they will have a rather deep and talented secondary with Brandon Flowers, Brandon Carr, Stanford Routt, Javier Arenas and Eric Berry. Wow. John Elway has said that he will bring in 2 QBs to push and compete with Tebow for the starting position, Brady Quinn will not be brought back. Eagles and DT Cullen Jenkins agree to new restructured contract.
Packers sign TE Jermichael Finley (hook'em) to a 2yr extension. Trent Richardson will not participate in the Combine as a precaution, due to a minor knee injury he got BEFORE the BCS National Title game. He's expected to be good to go for his pro-day March 27. Miami Dolphins fans have been putting up BillBOARDS as in more than one asking for Peyton Manning to come to town. Manning owns a home in the Miami area and he visits it every offseason. Butch Davis officially named Senior Defensive Assistant Coach for the Bucs. He will pretty much be the Defensive Coordinator but due to contract stipulations he still has with UNC, Davis can't officially be named as a HC or Coordinator. Yeah I've heard that as well, from John Clayton a few times on ESPN. Elway said they were going to bring in 2 new QBs and didn't mention if it was via draft or free agency. If they take Tannehill they would have to do it with their 1st rounder IMO... which is 25th... the same spot they traded up to for Tebow.
Here is actually an article posted earlier about Elway on Tebow this offseason. He says that he has Great expectations for him. http://blogs.nfl.com/2012/02/24/elw...ebow-set-to-begin/?module=HP11_headline_stack
RG 3 confirms he will NOT throw at the combine. He also weighed and measured in bigger/taller than expected. 6'2 3/8" and 223lbs.

Texans lock up Arian Foster through his prime.Running back Arian Foster has agreed with the Houston Texans on a five-year contract extension, according to a tweet posted by Foster's agent on Monday. Foster's deal is worth a maximum of $43.5 million with $20.75 guaranteed, NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora reported, citing a team source. The deal includes a total of $18 million in base salary and bonuses in 2012 and is worth $30 million over the first three years. Foster is now behind Adrian Peterson (seven years, $96 million) and Chris Johnson (six years, $55.26 million) as the third-highest-paid rusher in the league.
Thank God the Bills signed this guy long term. The Buffalo Bills have signed wide receiver Stevie Johnson to a multi-year contract extension, the team announced Monday. The Bills did not initially announce terms of the deal, but a club source told NFL Network's Albert Breer that it is for five years and $36.25 million, including $19.5 million guaranteed. Johnson is set to get $24 million over the first three years of the deal.

Colts officially announce they are releasing Peyton Manning. The Jets, Seahawks, Dolphins and Redskins have already had meetings about Manning.
If Peyton Manning wins a super bowl, he will be one of 4 QBs to do so at age 36. Johnny Unitas, Jim Plunket and John Elway are the only ones to do it.
