I heard somewhere that there is going to be a season this year, just maybe not a preseason. Is this true? Basically what I heard is the US Gov said, either figure it out yourselfs, or we will, you are too big of an industry to let us watch you fold in times like this. Has anyone heard anything about this?
Yeah basically, a judge made a ruling that this issue needs to be fixed asap or the courts will settle it and no one (owners or players) will get the deals they want. The owners and players are meeting again today, and the owners have a July 21st deadline. A preseason seems iffy right now, there is still training camps to be held etc. They might limit it to 1 or 2 preseason games instead of the usual 4.
